Sr. Director of Engineering Ruslan Belkin, Snr. Director Engineering, Linked-In
Ruslan started at LinkedIn as an architect for the communication
platform. Ruslan is now managing the engineering group responsible for
groups, news feeds, communications platforms and the address book. Prior to
LinkedIn Ruslan held lead engineering roles at Netscape, AOL, Sun
Microsystems and Siebel. Ruslan presented at major professional conferences
- including JavaOne, SDWest and Velocity.

Abstract: Sean Dawson and Ruslan Belkin will discuss the architecture of LinkedIn's
network updates service - a near real-time feed aggregation system that
lets LinkedIn members keep track of activities happening around their
connections and affiliations. Sean and Ruslan will also be happy to answer
questions about other aspects of LinkedIn's architecture.
