Presentation: "Cooperation, Collaboration, and Awareness"

Time: Wednesday 15:35 - 16:35

Location: Cornell Room

Abstract:

It's not just good enough to develop elegant software, it's mandatory to develop operable software, especially in web architectures. This session will talk about the various pain points and solutions found at Flickr.com and Etsy.com surrounding the collaboration and cooperation between development teams who are tasked with delivering working software and operations teams who are tasked with delivering infrastructure and availability. There are some technical, cultural, and process related things you can do to help everyone own the task of both availability and and rapid change, at the same time.
