Presentation: "Betting the Company (Literally) on a Graph Database"
Time: Friday 11:40 - 12:30
Location: Grand Ballroom BC
QCon is an "enterprise" software development conference. But companies often start as two people working out of a living room before they become "enterprise". This is the story of one such company and its early decision to build entirely on a graph database.
The Thingdom was a social network around products, and it was built on Node.js and Neo4j. Come hear why we chose to build on a graph database, how we did it, and what we learned.
This talk will be technical, but all relevant concepts will be explained. If you're interested in exploring graph databases, you should have a much better understanding of how to work with them through this talk.
