Presentation: "When will Mobile Web catch up with Mobile Apps?"

Time: Thursday 16:50 - 17:50

Location: Stanford

Abstract:

We are reaching a tipping point in the industry where the interest and growth of mobile web applications appears to be outpacing native device-specific applications, especially in Enterprise Mobile Web Apps. One of the most popular frameworks for writing mobile web applications today is jQueryMobile. Despite this, getting started with jQueryMobile can be tough, and mastering it's nuances even more challenging.

To help you get started with jQueryMobile, this presentation will cover the differences of mobile web vs. native, the history of jQueryMobile, writing your first jQueryMobile enterprise app, integrating jQueryMobile with ASP.NET MVC, and some of the tips and tricks that we've learned from several high profile customer projects that use the framework.
