Dennis Stevens, Enterprise Agile Coach, Global Lead - PMI Agile Community of Practice

 Dennis  Stevens

For over 25 years, Dennis has been passionate about helping organizations deliver technology that makes a difference for their business. He is an Enterprise Agile coach who brings situation appropriate Lean and Agile practices to the Enterprise.

Dennis is a recognized expertise in Agile Project Management, Agile Business Analysis, and Enterprise Agile Transformation. He currently serves as the Global Lead for PMI’s Agile Community of Practice, was on the Steering Committee that defined PMI’s Agile Certified Practitioner, and served as Deputy Project Manager for PMI’s OPM3. He was a significant contributor to IIBA’s Agile Extension to the BABOK and Microsoft’s business architecture offering. He has been published in Harvard Business Review and the Cutter Consortium.

Dennis attended FSU on a violin scholarship, served in the USMC, helped coach the 2008 12U Girl's AAU National Champions, and has a degree in Organizational Psychology and Development.

Abstract: Agile practices work at the team level and have for over a decade. When it doesn't work it is generally because the organizational context doesn't allow Agile teams to work. Dennis will show a proven Enterprise model that not only creates the context for Agile teams to perform - Enterprises are positioned to exploit the adaptability, reliability and quality of the Agile teams to create sustainable competitive advantage
