Presentation: "Clojure in the Wild Web"

Time: Friday 13:30 - 14:20

Location: Seacliff AB

Abstract: Much has been made of Clojure’s suitability for data-processing but it is increasingly the tool of choice for other domains. In this session, I’ll describe our experience using Clojure at ReadyForZero for fast-paced web development. I will demonstrate a few aspects of the language that facilitate more rapid and correct application development versus other dynamic languages. Although our team is relatively small, I’ll reflect on how the language can ameliorate some of the challenges of scaling a development team. My goal for the talk will be to read between the parentheses and convince the viewer that Clojure is a modern, pragmatic choice for a gets-stuff-done team working in any domain.
