Women in Tech & Allies Breakfast Co-Sponsored by Netflix

Designed to support and enable women and allies to connect and network before the second day of the conference. Breakfast will be open for attendees to join beginning at 7 a.m. and is “come and go.” This year’s Women in Tech & Allies Breakfast has limited seating, so please register soon if you are interested in attending.

Speaker: Wade Davis
Wade Davis is the Vice President of Inclusion Strategy -- Product for Netflix. At Netflix, Wade works directly with Netflix’s Chief Product Officer and 31 Vice Presidents to enhance their inclusive leadership capabilities, as well as create and embed diversity and inclusion policies, norms, and practices. Prior to joining Netflix, Wade built an inclusive leadership coaching and consulting practice with clients including Netflix, Google, P&G, Viacom and the NFL. 

Wade is a former NFL player and is the NFL’s first LGBT inclusion consultant where he has developed and implemented leadership strategies and national engagement initiatives at the intersection of sexism, racism, and homophobia. 

Wade was an official surrogate for President Obama in 2012 and is a UN Women Global Impact Champion for Change. He also regularly collaborates with #MeToo, The Ms. Foundation for Women and Times Up Now.

Wade has been an Adjunct Professor at the NYU School of Professional Studies Tisch Institute for Sports Management, Media, and Business and at the Rutgers University School of Public Affairs and Administration. He continues to lecture on the intersections of race, sexuality, and gender at universities nationally and internationally. 

Wade Davis was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In 2014 Wade received an honorary Doctor of Public Service degree from Northeastern University for his leadership and ongoing efforts to eradicate homophobia and sexism in athletics.
