Presentation: "Code Talks: Demonstrating the "ilities" of REST"
Time: Thursday 14:30 - 15:30
Location: City
The REST style of distributed computing promises to deliver on a number of non-functional requirements: scalability, reliability, evolvability, visibility, performance, and simplicity.
In this session Mr. Lacey will explain the RESTful constraints that bring about these properties, and show these constraints in action with a focus on loose-coupling and evolvability.
In contrast, Mr. Lacey will discuss how unconstrained distributed technologies fail to deliver on the promise of loose-coupling and are thus not suitable for use as a general purpose services layer.
