Learn about the hottest trends and updates in web development. This track will focus on various frameworks, progressive web apps, reactive programming, performance, and the latest browser and JavaScript standards.
Trackhost Interview
Tracy: About a year and a half ago, I got into JavaScript and fell in love. I write modern web, and what we do is we focus on trying to get the best of the best speakers and content for people. We do podcasts, training and different conferences.
Tracy: The first talk is going to be with Jay Phelps, who is the co-author of redux-observable, and maintains a lot of the ES7 decorator libraries.
Stef Penner, part of the Ember.js Core team, and Jafar one of the main people behind Falcor. Both sit on the TC39 Standards Committee and will talk about the past, present and future of JavaScript.
Web Pack is huge right now, so we have Sean Larkin who is on the Angular CLI core team and on the web pack core team. He was one of the people who switched over angular CLI to the web pack version. He will be joined by Patrick Stapleton, who has been doing a lot of stuff in web pack, especially around Angular too.
Ben Lesh, the main contributor for RxJS 5, will be talking about building applications with RxJS.
I get really excited about Ember, Angular and React and how all the different frameworks are working together, learning from each other and borrowing things from each other.
We have three people who are the main contributors of Ember, Angular and React, who will be talking about the strengths and the weaknesses of their frameworks. Taras Mankovski is an Ember mentor and OSS contributor, and Rob Wormald is part of the learning team for the Angular core team.
Dan Shaw from NodeSource will be talking about the node ecosystem, and how early decisions in Node have impacted the ecosystem as a whole.
Tracy: I tried to make this track as interesting as possible. You can come to a talk and you can sit there for 50 minutes, or you can really have multiple people involved.
I think that these topics are the top things that are on people’s minds when it comes to JavaScript at this point in time.
