Presentation: "What is Keeping Agile Development from Mainstream Adoption?"

Time: Thursday 11:00 - 12:00

Location: Concordia

Abstract:

Agile is generally talked about as a single package: if you adhere to the principles, you get the benefits. Without a clear mapping of principles to practices to benefits it is difficult for Agile to spread rapidly.

Complicating this is the perception that Agile is for small teams and requires the use of 3x5 cards, co-location and pair programming. Topics will focus on what it takes for mainstream adoption of Agile; include the relationship between principles, practices and benefits; and scaleable Agile practices.
