Abstract: The goal of the Mozilla WebAPI project is to move forward the Open Web by prototyping new APIs in Firefox, engaging other browser vendors to do the same, and standardizing these new APIs through W3C and WHATWG. In this session Andreas Gal will explain Mozilla's vision of closing the gap between device APIs and Web based APIs as quickly as possible.
