Speaker: Chris Moody

Manager of the Applied AI team @StitchFix

Chris Moody is the manager of the Applied AI team at Stitch Fix, where he works on real-time recommendation engines that learn from clients' styles and body shapes as fast as possible. In the past he has worked on how to form bridges between machine learning models and human experts by post-processing your model into something explainable (via t-SNE, the k-SVD and lda2vec) and by building models that can tell you what they *don't* know via Bayesian variational methods.

Speaker: Reena Philip

Engineering Manager @Facebook

Reena Philip is an engineering manager at Facebook. She leads Speech in the Applied Machine Learning (AML) group. She joined Facebook from Amazon (Lab126) where she worked on speech recognition for the Fire phone and Amazon's Alexa. She has dabbled across a broad spectrum of problem spaces ranging from security, e-commerce, online advertising and speech.

Speaker: Melanie Warrick

Senior Developer Advocate for ML and Google Cloud

Melanie Warrick is a Senior Developer Advocate for machine learning and Google Cloud. Previously, she was a founding engineer for DeepLearning4J (open source neural net platform in Java), and also implemented machine learning in production at Change.org. Over the last couple of years, she has spoken at many conferences about artificial intelligence, and her passions include working on machine learning problems at scale.

Speaker: Kevin Moore

Senior Data Scientist @ Salesforce Einstein

Kevin Moore is a Senior Data Scientist at Salesforce Einstein, where he develops automated machine learning tools in Spark/Scala to make data scientists' lives easier. In his previous life, he was an astrophysicist who focused on modeling the evolution of stars and their eventual explosions. He has a PhD in physics from UC Santa Barbara, was a postdoc at UC Santa Cruz, and was a professor at the Claremont Colleges before joining Salesforce in 2016. When he's not factorizing matrices, Kevin is probably biking, brewing beer, snowboarding, or playing video games.

Speaker: Miju Han

Director of Product @GitHub

Based in San Francisco, Miju sits comfortably in the middle of data and product as a Director of Product at GitHub. She is passionate about using one of the largest software datasets in the world to improve the way we develop software and democratize it for the next generation of people writing code. Miju began her career working on content platform analytics at companies such as YouTube, Beats Music/Apple, and TuneIn before joining GitHub in January 2017, where she fell in love with the developer tools space. Outside of work she's an avid yogini and painter.
