Cathy Polinsky is VP of Engineering for Search at Salesforce. Her engineering organization is responsible for the large scale search infrastructure that supports the high data volume growth and frequent updates of all data in the Salesforce's distributed metadata driven platform. Cathy joined Salesforce in 2009. Prior to leading Search, she held a variety of software engineering leadership roles at the company in the Platform Engineering and Emerging Businesses organizations. Before joining Salesforce, Cathy led software development teams at Yahoo! In their search and advertising technologies group and was a software developer at Amazon.com and Oracle. Cathy is particularly excited about working on projects with massive scale, data and performance constraints and is passionate about finding opportunities to create a culture of innovation on her teams that push the boundaries of technology.
