Brian Yang is a Member of Technical Staff working on Ads at OpenAI, after previously working on Search. Across more than a decade at OpenAI, Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and startups, he has built systems spanning AI-native monetization, generative AI, search and retrieval, ranking, advertising, and large-scale infrastructure. He has also worked as a founding engineer and entrepreneur. Brian is interested in how conversational AI reshapes discovery, relevance, marketplaces, and monetization and in the practical engineering and cultural choices required to turn ambitious AI ideas into reliable products.
